I have tried many brands of chalk during my 35 years of teaching, and this chalk is by far the best.

Yep, I use chalk a lot in my woodworking. If you don't mark the pieces clearly, you will end up with a box front upside down or cut the miters on the wrong side. Marking with a pencil on dark woods is hard to see and pencils make a mark in the wood that is hard to sand out at times. Crayons leave a wax behind that can interfere with your final finish. I find that these inexpensive chalk sticks are the way to go. Very easy to see, they have prevented quite a few "disasters", and after that final assembley the chalk wipes right off. You can even lay a piece on its side, run it down the length of the wood and define those "low" spots. I also use it to mark the specie's of wood on rough piece's I bring home, especially the exotics.
Recommend to all woodworkers.
