Piggy Bank is what we called a coin accumulation and storage container but not exclusively used by children. Collectors called this as a Still bank opposed to in the early 20th century as mechanical banks. It often used by corporations for promotional purposes. It made from ceramic or porcelain, and serve as pedagogical device to teach the children to be thrift and learn to save money. It can be easily inserted by children and for the traditional type of bank the pig must be broken to retrieve the money. There are also piggy bank who are modern that can be easily access the coin by having a rubber plug located on the underside, or a vinyl made and a removable nose. There are also a modern piggy bank that ca incorporate in electronic systems which can calculate the amount of money deposited.
The piggy bank in modern are not limited to the likeness of pigs and there are many version of animal shapes, sizes and colors may come in. As of now, many people collects piggy banks as a hobby.
