Dental wipes are definitely a good start to good oral health for children & as stated in a previous review, they can be used for adults too! I bought these initially for my daughter. Like many parents, I had developed a habit to give my daughter a bottle as I would put her to sleep. A bottle is her comfort to go to sleep, a bad habit for oral health that I am still currently working to break. Dental wipes allows me to wipe her teeth, gums & whole mouth as she sleeps. At first I would show her how to use it by using them myself. Eventually, now that she is eating solids, I let her "play" with one. And of course I have introduced to her the toothbrush which is working out well too as I brush my teeth in front of her.
Only bad part about it is the taste/smell. I am quite sensitive to smell & of course you taste by smelling so its something I had to get use too. Its not overly disgusting just not "fruity" or "sweet" enough you can say. It is a bit pricey compared to using a regular toothbrush & tooth paste but its a start & you can't find them in any stores!

These are an AMAZING invention! My 16 month old REFUSES to let me brush her teeth or even wipe them with these wipes, but she LOVES to take the wipes herself and "brush" her teeth herself. I love that they contain xylitol because since my daughter refuses to let us help her to properly clean her teeth, I at least know if she is chewing on these or sucking on them they are at least helping a little bit. I also keep a package in my purse for myself! I hate it when my teeth feel rough/fuzzy and It's great because I can just pull one of these out and wipe my teeth clean! These are FABULOUS! ALSO: they are a lifesaver during diaper changes! My daughter loves to suck on baby wipes (yuck), and I can give her one of these instead and she stays still and loves to play with them! BUY THESE, THEY ARE GREAT!!!!

I'll share a dirty little secret. I have 4 grandchildren but I didn't buy the Tooth Tissues dental wipes for them. I bought them for myself. If one is worried about wear on tooth enamel and one should be if one's teeth are over 55 :-), then frequent brushing, even gentle brushing, can be a concern. I use these dental wipes, combined with flossing, as a substitute tooth brushing at the end of the day. They work great. My only complaint is that they are only made for little people so they have a gentle flavor. If dental wipes were made for adults, too, I think a strong minty flavor could be used. I haven't been able to find dental wipes for adults so these are a wonderful substitute.

I have been using tooth tisuues for almost a year now. as soon as my daughter sees me with the package she opens her mouth and lets me wipe her teeth after her feedings. when i first bought the product i called the doctor for instructions on handleling this product and she was sooo nice and explained that i should wash my hands before placing it in my daughter's mouth and make sure to close the resealable pouch so the rest of the tissues will not get damaged with any food spills, so i will have a clean tissue everytime.
